Doggy Poo

Written by on August 6, 2008 – 10:48 pm -

Doggy Poo is a claymation film, directed by Kwon Oh-Sung. It was based on the original novel by Kwon Jung-saeng back in 1968. In short, the film Doggy Poo is about a Doggy Poo that enters the real world, not being able to form friends because he is a Doggy Poo. This makes him sad, lowers his self esteem and makes him starts believing that he is worthless. Doggy Poo then meets a plant that tells him that he can help her grow into a flower. With this need, Doggy Poo feels like he has a purpose and then ends up living a happy life after.

The film is quite basic and animation is too adorable to miss! Watch a youtube trailer here.

I was around Nathan Phillips Square (downtown Toronto) sometime last week and passed by several booths filled with many random things from paintings to photographs to craft pieces. There was one booth that caught me eye, the Monster Factory booth. It was filled with many unique cute plush toys such as these ones:

Monster Factory is Toronto based and is a collaboration between Rhya Tamasauskas, Bliss Man and Adam Dunn. You can see some of their works sold in small downtown Toronto stores such as Propaganda (on Yonge Street).
